David Cooper, MD, MPH, MBA, é certificado em Pediatria, Cardiologia Pediátrica e Cuidados Críticos Pediátricos. Atualmente é o Diretor Médico do Instituto do Coração e da Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Cardíaca do Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Nos últimos 20 anos, sua carreira se concentrou no atendimento a neonatos, bebês, crianças e adultos gravemente enfermos com doenças cardíacas congênitas complexas, com um interesse especial em como o atendimento na unidade de terapia intensiva pode afetar a morbidade. Seu trabalho de pesquisa concentrou-se em anticoagulação, suporte extracorpóreo, lesão renal aguda/crônica, trabalho em equipe, desempenho e resultados dos pacientes. O Dr. Cooper é coeditor do livro Critical Heart Disease in Infants and Children, 3ª edição. O Dr. Cooper é o ex-presidente imediato da Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society. Foi membro fundador (Comitê Executivo) do Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Consortium (PC4) e presidente fundador do Comitê de Banco de Dados (incluindo o desenvolvimento do banco de dados da CICU). Lindsey Justice, DNP, APRN, CPNP-AC é enfermeira da UTI CIC no Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). Foi pioneira na função de PNP de cuidados agudos na CICU do CCHMC e agora é Gerente Clínica Provedor de Prática Avançada (APP) para a CICU e a Unidade de Cardiologia de Cuidados Agudos. Ela continua ativa no gerenciamento clínico à beira do leito de neonatos, crianças e adultos com doenças cardíacas congênitas e adquiridas, e seu trabalho acadêmico se concentra no desenvolvimento e na sustentabilidade das equipes de APP da UTIC, no crescimento profissional e no avanço clínico dos APPs e na melhoria dos processos de trabalho em equipe e de comunicação na UTIC. Ela faz parte da diretoria da Sociedade de Terapia Intensiva Cardíaca Pediátrica (PCICS) desde 2017 e é a atual presidente da PCICS. Ela co-presidiu o desenvolvimento e a implementação de um currículo de provedor de prática avançada de UTIP, que inclui um livro publicado e vários cursos presenciais de revisão de currículo por ano.
